Murder Avenue puts you in the shoes of a nosey 80’s detective looking to solve fresh cold blooded murder cases. I don’t usually immerse myself into games but once I ducked under that yellow tape and smelled the fresh blood on the scene I immediately knew I chose the wrong career path. It also helped that my random assistant that did nothing was an absolute smoke show. Why was I bussing tables in my 20’s when I could have been easily solving small town murders? I was built for this. (just kidding, after playing the demo for 90 minutes I think I jailed the wrong person and they’re probably going to die early in the gas chamber because of me.) Anyways, Murder Avenue has you investigating crime scenes, interviewing multiple witnesses, making calls to strangers and collecting evidence around town. I even sat at my desk (in game) and chain smoked 10 packs of cigarettes going over my clues while trying to piece together what I had uncovered. I was a mess.
